The Cathedral of Good Shepherd is the country’s oldest Catholic Church. The cathedral id the honored home for the present day archbishop. Initially when the foundation of the church was laid in the year 1843, none one knew the it would be a splendid architectural design structure. It was a showdown between the architectural grests between the D.L. Sweeney and J.T. Thomson. The design of Thomas was ultimately selected even though it quite expensive than Sweeney’s design. A year later, a third architect Charles Dyce added the tower and spire to the church. The church was declared as a memorial in the year 1973.
