Reflections at Bukit Chandu, Singapore

At Bukit Chandu, you can get transported to the year 1942, when a Malay regiment comprising of 1400 soldiers stood against a vast army of 13,00 Japenese soldiers. The Malay soldier opted for death over dishonor. Permit the Pepper’s Ghost to transport you through the era of Pasir Panjang battle. You can stroll through the galleries that display the maps, photos, dates and particulars regarding the Malay Defense and the life at the Malay regiment.

This memorial is located in the midst of the lush green environs of the opium hill. It replicates the courage of the brave Malay soldiers who laid down their lives for the sake of the country during the Second World War.

The memorial is opened on (Tue-Sun) from 9am to 5pm

The admission fees id for adults it is SGD2 and for kids below one year it is SGD1. For family comprising of 5 persons with a maximum of two adults, the fees id SGD 5.

The estimated tour timing is about two hours.

To get there: You need to take SBS bus 10, 30, 51, and 143 or otherwise you can take TIBS bus 176, 188. Another option is you can take a taxi from Buona Vista MRT Station (EW180).
